Re-Enrollment

At the Board meeting on Wednesday, January 17th, the 2024-2025 School Calendar and Tuition and Fee Schedules were approved.   This email is to update you on the changes that are occurring with the re-enrollment process for the 2024-2025 school year for your child to attend St. Mary’s, St. Peter’s or McAuley.

This year, we streamlined the process and have moved to a paperless process that is automatic and extremely simple for you.

 Here is the process:

  • All current students are automatically re-enrolled for the 2024-2025 School year
  • If your family has made the decision to NOT return to JACS next year, you must inform us of your decision by February 15, 2024.  You must contact Darren in the Business office at 417-624-5003 or by email at dcook@jacschools.org.
  • The $50.00 re-enrollment fee for each student will be automatically billed to your incidental billing account in FACTS and will be withdrawn from  (or charged to) the account that is on file for payments.  This will occur on or around March 1st, 2024.

If you would prefer to pay this by cash or check, you must bring payment to the Business Office anytime before February 15th.  This fee is non-refundable.  If you decide to not return to JACS after February 15th, you will still be responsible for this fee.

  • The current payment plan (how your tuition is paid either yearly, semi-annual, or monthly) you are using for the 2023-2024 school year will be the payment schedule you will be enrolled in for the 2024-2025 school year.  You can change this payment plan if you would like.  Please contact Darren in the business office with changes to your payment plan. There is a detailed list of payment options in this email if you would like to make any changes.

IMPORTANT information PLEASE read.

  • FACTS is going to an authentication system that requires that each person listed in FACTS has an individual email address.  Some of our parents are using the same email address.  This will no longer be permissible due to the authentication review being added.  Please make sure that each parent/guardian has his/her own email address.
  • Accessing the demographic information in your family portal allows you to make any changes that may have occurred (address, email address, etc.) this school year.   Please go to your demographic page and make sure that all of the information is correct.
  • Families with split financial responsibilities need to be aware that the ENTIRE financial obligation will be placed on the account of the financially responsible party (the person who is doing the enrolling).   Once the second party fills out his/her account, the money for all fees and tuition will be split accordingly.  Each family will need to inform the business office how to split up the tuition and fees.

Tuition Discounts and Scholarship Information

We understand that a Catholic education is a financial commitment, and we are so thankful you have made that commitment to the Joplin Area Catholic Schools.  It is our hope that we continue to grow by retaining our current families while bringing in NEW families to be a part of our JACS family!

Here is a listing of the current financial saving opportunities available to our families:

Full Tuition Multi-Child Discount:  Families who pay full tuition and have more than one child enrolled in the JACS system will receive a 20% tuition discount for the 2nd child and for each additional child enrolled.

Outlying Parish Members:  For families that attend an outlying parish (other than St. Peter’s (Joplin), St. Mary’s (Joplin or Sacred Heart (Webb City) or the child attended a local parochial grade school that does not offer a middle/high school option, will receive a tuition discount of 25% for each child that is enrolled in one of our three campuses.

Parish Member Tuition:  This tuition rate is offered to the parents/legal guardians who are registered members in good standing and committed to tithing (goal of 6% of gross income) at St. Mary’s-Joplin, St. Peter’s-Joplin, or Sacred Heart in Webb City.  Parish members that qualify can receive subsidized tuition from the Parish they attend.

To receive the Parish Member discount, the financially responsible party MUST receive a Parish Code from the office of the church they attend.  PLEASE NOTE:  Until this Parish Code is received and verified by the JACS business office, full tuition will be charged.

Referral Credit:   Currently enrolled JACS families will earn a $250.00 TUITION CREDIT for a NEW family that enrolls at least one student in any grade K-12. This tuition credit is presented per new FAMILY, not new student that enrolls and is awarded the semester following the new students first completed full semester of attendance.   Full details are available on our website.

Employees of Corporate Sponsors:  Any employee who is employed by one of our corporate sponsors and has children that are eligible to attend one of our three schools, will receive a 20% tuition discount for the current school year.  This is for families that would NOT be eligible for parish member tuition.  This is good for one year unless the business renews its corporate sponsorship each year.

Scholarships:  Thanks to the generous benefactors, a Catholic Education Scholarship is available to any family attending the Joplin Area Catholic Schools that might require financial assistance.  Scholarship forms are available in the Family Portal of FACTS and must be completed to be considered for a scholarship.  Scholarship amounts are determined by the scholarship committee and are awarded based on the need presented.  There is a 40.00 application fee (charged by FACTS) to apply for assistance.
