2024 Mercy-Warrior Activities Week: Calendar of Events
Joplin Area Catholic Schools (JACS) is thrilled to announce the schedule for our annual Mercy-Warrior Activities Week sponsored by Mercy Hospital Joplin. The week is dedicated to fostering community spirit and celebrating the dedication of our students, faculty, alumni, and supporters. This year’s Activity Week promises to be much improved, with a week of exciting events planned from September 20th to September 28th.
Kick-Off: Third Annual Golf Scramble Our festivities will begin on Friday, September 20th with the third annual Golf Scramble, proudly sponsored by Curt & Kristie Crossland and Club 609 - Linda Williams and Steve Williams. This event is a fantastic opportunity for participants to enjoy a day of golf while supporting JACS.
St. Mary's Home & School Warrior Dash On Sunday, September 22nd, the St. Mary’s Elementary Home & School will host the Warrior Dash at the East Shawnee Tribe in Wyandotte, OK. This fun obstacle course is perfect for everyone in the family, encouraging fitness and camaraderie with many fun obstacles along the way.
Faculty Cook-Off One of the most anticipated events, the Faculty Cook-Off, will take place on Tuesday, September 24th at McAuley Catholic High School. This event has become a fun tradition where our talented faculty members showcase their culinary skills, competing for the coveted title of best chef with the top 3 earning funds to support their classroom needs.
System-Wide Mass and Service Project On Friday, September 27th (note date change), we will gather for a system-wide mass at St. Peter’s Catholic Church. Mass will be followed by a service project and pep rally, embodying the spirit of giving and community that defines our school system.
New Event: Alumni Social We are excited to introduce a new event this year: the Alumni Social, scheduled for the evening of September 27th. This event offers a wonderful opportunity for alumni to reconnect, reminisce, and celebrate their shared experiences.
JACS Booster Club Trivia Night The week will conclude with the JACS Booster Club Trivia Night on Saturday, September 28th. This fun and engaging event will test participants’ knowledge across a range of topics, promising an evening of laughter and friendly competition.
