The Joplin Area Catholic Schools (JACS) community is proud to celebrate Marjorie Comer, our Director of Advancement, for being named one of Joplin Globe’s 20 Under 40 recipients. This honor recognizes Marjorie’s incredible leadership, passion, and dedication to making a difference in our community.
As the Director of Advancement, Marjorie wears many hats. She excels in fundraising, grant writing, and building strong relationships with donors and alumni, ensuring the success and sustainability of JACS. Her ability to connect with others and help them share their stories has been instrumental in advancing the mission of Catholic education in our community.
Marjorie lives by the inspiring words of St. Catherine of Siena: "Nothing great is ever achieved without much enduring." She credits her mom for encouraging her and continually pushing her to achieve more. This unwavering support has been a cornerstone of Marjorie’s success.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Marjorie’s commitment to service is evident in every facet of her life. She finds joy in giving back to the mission of the Catholic Church, often volunteering at her parish, St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church. Another cause close to her heart is the Midwest Transplant Network, where she passionately advocates for organ donation.
At home, Marjorie cherishes her role as wife to Sean and mom to their three wonderful children: Henry, Penelope, and Bernadette.
Marjorie’s recognition as one of the Joplin Globe’s 20 Under 40 recipients is well-deserved, and we are so blessed to have her as part of the JACS family. Her dedication and heart for service continue to inspire us all.
