Fireworks with 2024 Highlights

As this year comes to an end and we look forward to a new year ahead, we pause for a moment to reflect back on how wonderful 2024 was for the Joplin Area Catholic Schools.  Here are a few of the accomplishments we are most proud of:

  • On Tuesday mornings at 7:15 you would find students, teachers and parents
attending mass in the McAuley Chapel

  • After years of fundraising efforts by St. Mary’s Home and School, the playground
    received a new play structure

  • Sound system enhancements in the MPR at McAuley

  • Implemented single sign on system providing elementary and middle school
students with secure, easy access to technology based programs

  • Our white bus, purchased with the help of a previous auction’s Fund-a-Vision,
became the Warrior Bus as it was wrapped to show our Warrior Pride

  • The JACS Community partnered with the City of Joplin for our Mercy Day Service
Project- the beautification of Mercy Park

  • The McAuley class of 2024 received over $20 million in scholarship offers thanks to
the newly formed partnership with VU Scholarships

  • Cross Country Course constructed at our St. Mary’s Campus

  • McAuley Men’s Track Team brought home a state championship trophy in the
    4X800 relay

  • McAuley Men’s Cross Country secured the school’s first ever state team
    championship title

  • St. Peter’s Middle School launched Extraordinaire on the Aire, a student produced
    podcast

  • Over $100,000 was raised for the Sr. Norbert Flesch, RSM Staff Salary Endowment
Fund thanks to many generous donors

  • JACS partnered with Hallow to provide students with added resources,
    strengthening their personal prayer lives
