As this year comes to an end and we look forward to a new year ahead, we pause for a moment to reflect back on how wonderful 2024 was for the Joplin Area Catholic Schools. Here are a few of the accomplishments we are most proud of:
On Tuesday mornings at 7:15 you would find students, teachers and parents
attending mass in the McAuley ChapelAfter years of fundraising efforts by St. Mary’s Home and School, the playground
received a new play structureSound system enhancements in the MPR at McAuley
Implemented single sign on system providing elementary and middle school
students with secure, easy access to technology based programsOur white bus, purchased with the help of a previous auction’s Fund-a-Vision,
became the Warrior Bus as it was wrapped to show our Warrior PrideThe JACS Community partnered with the City of Joplin for our Mercy Day Service
Project- the beautification of Mercy ParkThe McAuley class of 2024 received over $20 million in scholarship offers thanks to
the newly formed partnership with VU ScholarshipsCross Country Course constructed at our St. Mary’s Campus
McAuley Men’s Track Team brought home a state championship trophy in the
4X800 relayMcAuley Men’s Cross Country secured the school’s first ever state team
championship titleSt. Peter’s Middle School launched Extraordinaire on the Aire, a student produced
podcastOver $100,000 was raised for the Sr. Norbert Flesch, RSM Staff Salary Endowment
Fund thanks to many generous donorsJACS partnered with Hallow to provide students with added resources,
strengthening their personal prayer lives
We close the chapter on a memorable 2024 with the promise of an exciting 2025 for the Joplin Area Catholic Schools as we enter the 140th year of Catholic Education in Joplin!
