As we invite families to our upcoming open houses, we want to share the meaning behind this year’s theme: “Come and See.”
This phrase comes from the Gospel of John (1:43-46), where Philip encounters Jesus and eagerly tells Nathanael, “We have found Him.” When Nathanael hesitates and questions whether anything good could come from Nazareth, Philip doesn’t argue or try to explain - he simply says, “Come and see.”
We chose this theme because it reflects what we hope every family will do: experience for themselves what makes Joplin Area Catholic Schools so special. Choosing a school for your child is one of the most important decisions you’ll ever make. While advice from others can be helpful, there’s nothing more meaningful than seeing, hearing, and feeling the difference for yourself.
At JACS, we strive to offer:
A Christ-centered education that shapes students spiritually, academically, and morally.
Academic excellence rooted in a commitment to cultivating knowledge and critical thinking.
A supportive and welcoming community that partners with families to help children thrive.
Our open houses are a chance for you to walk through our halls, meet our teachers and administrators, and see the energy and joy that fill our classrooms. It’s an opportunity to ask questions, feel the warmth of our community, and discern whether JACS is the right fit for your family.
So we extend the same invitation that Philip offered Nathanael: Come and see. Take the initiative to explore our schools for yourself, and discover how JACS can make a difference in your child’s life.
